WASD X IGN cements itself in the calendar for September

Roucan Events and Content has closed the door on fledgling consumer games event WASD X IGN  - a new addition to the UK’s most credible event brand WASD - enjoying increased consumer ticket sales and creator attendance from the Spring event. New Spring dates will be announced by the end of the week. 

Thousands of consumers spent a fun packed three days playing the latest releases from mainstream video games publishers and indie developers alike. Big brands entertained their communities, smaller games were discovered and friends spent time together celebrating with gameplay.

An unprecedented number of press and content creators attended the event generating incredible social coverage stats which will be released later in the coming week. They spent time networking (and eating pizza!) in the Creator Lounge curated and managed by Dead Good Media.

  • 1,000+ posts across the show open period

  • Combined follower count of 4,574,000 

Traditional press generated 161 pieces of press coverage generating 361m potential readers

WASD Careers, in partnership with Into Games, was once again a runaway success with over 60 hours of volunteered reviews given to 135 students. 61% of speakers and panellists were from underrepresented genders and we gave 30 tickets to low-income developers. The stage, (aside from hosting the UKIE AGM) presented 15 talks and panels to a packed audience.

Over 300 industry leaders attended the event supporting the UKIE AGM and networking in the Renaissance PR Business Lounge.
